Flashback: Last Day in California

Halloween Week, 2012

We spent our last day of this busy week on the beach. Seth and I can entertain ourselves at the shore for hours. Riley and Maya? Not so much. Unless there are surfboards, skateparks, or something like that around. So I gave them the cash that I had on hand, dropped the two of them off at downtown Huntington Beach to browse the shops again and do teen-ish stuff, and Seth and I went back across the street to the beach.

Flashback: Halloween!

We spent Halloween in Huntington Beach. It was so much fun. Their is a huge community celebration downtown with costume contests and trick-or-treating at all of the stores and restuarants.

It seems like every sunset west of the Rockies is absolutely breathtakingly gorgeous. I especially love the colors combined with the Spanish architecture, palm trees, deep blue sky, and surrounding (if a bit smogulous) mountain landscape of Southern California.
